I would like to think that being a good father and a good husabnd/boy friend go hand in hand. But the reality is that they don't. There are men and women alike who will put all their energy and attention into the well being of their kids and leave their partner wanting for some of that same energy and attention to be directed towards them. You also have those people who are so into their relationships that they leave their kids to take care of themselves. I think it is hard to find that balance, some people are just better at it than others.

I stopped at a Wendy's on my lunch break. Driving on the way back, I had to slam on my brakes. The giant soda fell out of the passenger side cupholder and onto the floor, spilling. Then the bag of food which was sitting on the passenger seat tipped over and the fries fell out into the spilled soda. They spilled on the passenger-side floor, which is strewn with trash, papers, mud, etc. I was so pissed that they overfill the soda every time and that the cup is stupid and fell out, that I picked up all the fries and put them back in the bag and then ate them. Some were soggy and sweet from the soda. Some had fiber on them from the carpet. Others had pieces of dirt. I was chewing one and a piece of grit mustve been on it because it felt like eating a piece of sand.

I have hurt a man. Not like in a fist fight either. I used to talk a lot about how death doesn't phase me. That much is true. When I saw what we did to this man, his face, his hands, the marks, the cuts, the bruises, I was indifferent. To watch a human being live through that kind of beating and act like an animal trapped in a cage is frightening. Some of his teeth had been knocked out so when he spoke, his swollen gums made it difficult to understand.

When the ordeal was over, everyone assured us we were the good guys. "The end justifies the means" they claimed. If we were the good guys, why did I enjoy it so much?

When I was around 4 or 5 years old, I was playing in the yard behind our garage, and I found a garter snake. I grabbed snake and smashed its head between two rocks. I didn't do it maliciously, as I was too young to realize what I was doing, but I've felt bad since. I have never been cruel to animals, and as far as I can remember this is the only time something similar has happened.

That I should have told my mom years ago. From the first time he touched me. I let my stepdad manipulate and control me and use me. The only one that's suffering is me now and some days I can't even breathe. I wish men acted like adults and took care of little girls like they should. I can't believe I let him live with me for all these years and smile at him and joke with him. Why am I so afraid to tell somebody. I should have told my mom. I confess that this happened years ago but I have nightmares every night and it makes me uncomfortable and depressed.

Well it's not really a confession..... It's more of venting and letting out steam. I really hope for true answers and not bull sh*t comments. I am male and I have been in the field of child care for 10 years. No matter what..... When everything seems to be going perfect....... Sh*t hits the fan. I work over and beyond my job and then the people I work with back stab me, talk behind my back and put on a fake front. Why is it that my fellow co-workers have to do this.... Is it a territorial thing..... Do woman have in there minds that men shouldn't be in the field.. Are they afraid that could and do a better job. I am not saying all woman in the field are like this. But honestly it needs to stop and people need to get past this and realize the need for males in the field... They need to understand that there can be stay at home dads too... I will continue to fight the good fight and prove that I am needed in this field... It is horrible how one can be treated when they want to do nothing but good.

I hope that whomever reads this will take me serious and not write anything stupid.

One evening a I was at home watching TV and eating a bowl of peanuts. Every now and then I would toss a peanut in the air and catch it in my mouth. Just as I was in mid-toss my wife asked me a question and as I turned to answer her, a peanut fell in my ear. I tried to dig it out but in my desperation succeeded in only pushing it in deeper. I asked wife to help me dislodge it but after hours of trying we decided to go to the hospital.
As we were heading out of the door, our daughter came home with her date. After being informed of the problem, our daughter’s’ young male companion suggested he might be able to get the peanut out. He told the me to sit down and relax, then proceeded to shove two fingers up my nose and told me to blow hard. I blew as he was told, and to everyone’s huge relief the peanut flew out of my ear. We thanked him profusely for helping us out. “It was nothing,” the young man insisted modestly. Once he was gone, my wife turned to me and said, “That’s wonderful! Isn’t he a smart young man? What do you think he’s going to be when he grows older?”
I replied, “Judging from the smell of his fingers, our son-in-law.”

When I was 17 I was in the process of doing my a levels in 6th form college. I had done absolutley no work whtsoever and was barely in th eplace and missed loads of lessons. My head of year decided to have an evening when all parents came into school and discuss our future and our present work. In a panic I had to come up with a plan to stop my parents finding out I was lazy and not going in. So I asked my friend who was in a similar situation as me to tell a big black lie. We told our head of year I was bulimic. It was believeable as I am naturally very skinny anyway. I had to pretend to cry and say i was going to the doctors blah blah blah. But every time I hear of someone who actuallu HAS an eating disorder I feel like C**P! So SORRY EVERYONE!!!
